The Effort of Our Lives

“Being worthy is up to the beholder, becoming worthy is up to us.”

Wow! It has been a long 2 weeks, but lo and behold, I have returned!

In this post, I would like to talk about a recurring theme in all of our lives, and something which we would love nothing more than to master. We will discuss the reasoning for it, the varying effects, and then how we can use this wonderful concept to improve our lives in a truly beautiful way.

Drum Roll Please…. dum dum dum dum!

The winner is Effort 🙂

Why do we need effort?

Everybody has their own answers for this simple yet important question.

In this society we think in terms of value and subjective thought processes, to truly become consistent we must become objective within our lives and focus on what truly matters. If what you believe in, is your work, then you will apply these skills there, if it is family, then you will think this pertains to them, and if it is friends, you will take this socially. We need effort for one reason, and that is the concept of worthy accomplishment.

When we work hard for something, there is a sense of completion which we rarely achieve in our lifetimes. We see this in many cases such as research papers and high-intensity housework. 🙂 Think of the times we are given the keys, do we feel good about having it, or are we proud of ourselves for reaching the point where we could put the pedal to the metal?

The Arbel cliffs I climbed last week…

Real Happiness

We can buy happiness, but as we know, that doesn’t last too long, and if it does we have given up on true accomplishment. Waking up at the crack of dawn every day may be hard, but there is that feeling of happiness we get by the time we are awake. That feeling is worth all the hardships in the world because we know it is real…

Praise yourself for your hard work, and your achievements will come naturally.

Become Your Teacher

“Appreciate the big things, but remember what they are made out of…”

Sometimes we forgot the fragility of this world and the concepts which hold it together in our eyes. With one flick of a hand or the simple truth told, the world as we know it would collapse. Something which we rely on to keep our schedules intact can break apart with such simple means, how do we keep on loving the world around us, instead of worrying about the possible outcomes?

For us to discover the answer, we must understand one simple word – Appreciation

I have written about this in the past, but I have a slightly different explanation I would like to divulge to you, my treasured readers. We have all been on the receiving end of more than a few anxiety fueled thoughts. Then, one of two outcomes will occur, we push past our thoughts that hold us back from greatness, or the what if’s become our reality to the point of failure. pushing ourselves is imperative to success and only with constant effort to grow can we become our true selves.

When we think of the outcomes of a situation, there are many ways we can veer off into the darkened pool of our mind. The best way to make sure we do not stary off the path of achievement is to teach ourselves to react positively to challenges. Worry is an integral part of keeping us safe, but at some point, we must take our worry and throw it in the backseat while we let our willpower and need for success take the wheel.

The possibilities are endless, make sure you do not forget that there are many ways not just to fail, but to succeed as well.

Discovery Nurtures Growth

Sunday post for Friday…

Ah, this Friday was a holiday here in Israel so, alas I could not post, but here I am today on this beautiful Sunday ready to inspire.

“Nothing in this world is meaningless… unless we make it so.” -Me?

I would like to unravel the mystery of maturity and discover what causes us to turn into the responsible adults we think we are.

Today I was trying to convince my friend to stay in the post high-school program that he is enrolled in, and not to drop out and go back home. Now there are a lot of factors involved in this discussion, but the overall factor was his wanting to be in a place he felt safe in. Me and him were going back and forth about the concept of being your own person, and making your own safe places by adapting to the outside world. Unfortunately I didn’t make any headway and although he might go home I really hope he can change his mindset enough to realize the importance of adulthood.

What kind of power can cause a person to leave the place of his upbringing and start a life outside of his previous parameters?

There are a good amount of reasons for one to leave his home in search of more, but I would like to talk about the concept of discovery in this post.

The world is a big place and we haven’t even scratched the surface when in comes to 100% discovery. I personally love how much mystery there is in the real world, and that movies and tv shows don’t compare to what we can see without there help of CGI. Just this fact alone has people searching in the deepest caves, tallest mountains, and the most remote of islands. There is no reason to do these things but the hope of discovery and the drive for new experiences.

Everyone has this inside of them, and we can use it to our advantage. When there is something for us to do in our daily lives, all we see is a grey wall of nothingness which ends up being routine, but imagine if we can discover something new just by making dinner, or washing the car?

We can learn so much form the simplest of experiences, and what we learn will help us make the world, a safer place.

Nature of Change

Friday First

“Beginnings begin with a thought and continue with action.”

Finally! I have found the time to write on this blog that I love so much for the people that have given me the energy and inspiration to keep writing in the first place.

I have been studying in Israel for the last few weeks, and it has been an experience unlike any other. My day consists of classes and meals, maybe an hour of free time, and a hike from time to time just to get the blood pumping. Beauty is the embodiment of where I live, with mountains in the distance, palm trees, and the views I have on a daily basis really help my creative writing in a big way. The impact my surroundings have had on me is something which I would like to expand on today.

Situational Circumstances

Many factors can lead to change in our lives, and these varying changes will hopefully have a positive affect on our lives. Change does not have to mean a total opposite, or different factor then a more familiar one. There can be improvement that we see as change, just as a person can still eat ice cream, but only at the right occasions, and will feel better about his control over his desires.

Many of us feel a missing link within our lives and believe we can fill it with more of the same, as long as we keep upping the ante. This is obviously not true, since we know that the definition of insanity is to keep repeating the same actions and expecting different results.

Proof From The Past

Last year I also studied in Israel and if you have read previous posts, you know I loved it. Although, I knew that I did not live up to my full potential, or accomplish all that I wanted to in the place I was last year, mentally and physically. Guess what? I changed my surroundings by applying to a different program and getting new visa paperwork, and all the other processes which I went through to make this switch occur. Of course I had help from my family to make this happen, and that really gave me the power to overcome my weaknesses and push myself to accomplish what I needed to achieve.

The change I am seeing on a daily basis is astounding, and I can thank my willpower, along with the proper environment which I put myself in.

I really missed writing to ya’ll, and reading your incredible thoughts. Peace until next week 🙂

Emotion Steps Forward

Monday Munch

“Prepare for the worst, expect the best, know the reality.”

We always want the best possible outcome, it is just natural. For most of us though, what plagues our minds are the less then positive endings which we think are more likely to happen. The fear of being let down is so great, that we actually believe that the world has a negative outcome waiting for us to walk into.

The reasoning? Fear of lurching towards our goal.

More times then not, patience and logic bring out the best outcome, but there are instances where we must simply lurch toward the goal we have set for ourselves. An un-explainable action caused by a moment of inspiration is all we need to push ourselves into the next step of our adventure.

We can use our emotions to achieve what we need to accomplish, they can go awry, but hopefully we can set ourselves on such a strong path, that nothing will be able to divert our focus…

Opportunities of the Past

Tuesday Tunnel

“We all have history, although some ignore, while others adore” – Me?

Whenever there is a question of why, or the time to take action arises, and the reasoning has died. There is only one way to look, one direction to trust, and one path to uncover. This, is the question of our past, this question alone will provide the answer we need in order to move on.

The Future

I think of the future as one does with an ever-changing schedule, with an open mind. Coming to this realization is what unbinds us from the chains of repetitiveness, and lets us walk with newly found explorations and emotions we never thought we would let ourselves experience. Being in a state of happiness just means you don’t regret what occurred five minutes ago, and I am sure we all have been sad or let down by things that happened years or even millennia ago; but do we not try and hold back those monsters so angels can thrive in their stead. Challenge and misfortune come to every human begging for attention, but we fight and we hold the line between them and our love for the world around us.

Every time we gain ground on the forces of negativity, we learn and adapt to the nature which keeps us grounded. The very life we live is an interpretation of the future we will inevitably and fortunately experience. If we let ourselves fall for our own limitations, then freedom is forsaken and our own worst enemy is in the future, inside of us, nurturing on the safeties and fears we keep, only to limit our potential.

Freedom is discovering the past to change your future for the better 🙂

The Past

I would like to believe the past is something which is defined by the beholder. Not just a projection of what our feeble understanding of the mind conjures for us. Memory is taken for law in court, but not trusted when a loved one needs to trust it most. Hate, love, anger, and kindness are just some examples of emotions which almost everyone has had change their perception of the past. We love our hero, so in turn we remember the good times where we were most affected. The anger we feel for our worst enemy blocks out the times of understanding and corrupts us with inexplicable and unintelligent actions.

When we decide to feel emotion and stop caring what the world wants us to feel, freedom is there. Although letting your emotions guide your action without recourse is just another form of prison. Love is great, but do not mistaken what you love for what is right.

Please keep on loving and sharing the possibility of happiness, just be careful of why, the reasoning will decide the repercussions.

Traditionally speaking of course.

Being Everyone Else

Smooth Sunday

If you have been reading my content then you realize I sometimes write these posts which take a familiar and accepted concept, then break it down and re-build it in a way which can be used by us in the most productive way.

Well, This is One of Those

Everyone wants to feel like they want to belong within their realm of reality. Part of what helps build a society is the collaborative wanting of a group of people to be the one who contributed what was needed. Belonging is meaning, and once we find meaning our search is over.

Lots of psychologists and therapists will understandably recommend getting comfortable around other people; while they say to feel positive and happy in your own skin as well. While this isn’t a paradox, it is still a challenging feat to achieve. Just think about this one line of thought, if one is comfortable with others, does this mean that peace is on the inside, or is the facade just that, a facade.

Come closer

Ignoring the Possibilities

What we are does not have to do with what we decide to be okay with, or what others decide is good for us to accept. What we are, is the manisfestation of all the possibilities and reality which occurs within our range of knowledge. That is what we can be and what we are, not what we are willing to accept. We live with ourselves everyday, and to say that we are what we vbelive is to ignore the rest which we do not have control of.

That is not to say there isn’t hope for more to become, it just means the possibilities of success were just increased by 100%…

Can You Accept Oppurtunities

Sunday Sunshine

Beautiful and lovely, the sun rises in the distance outside my bedroom window. The world is still, with only rays of light, getting brighter and brighter.

 This was my morning.

With breakfast eaten and my morning routine complete I lay down in bed and contemplate. (Not sure what I was contemplating, something very important, of course 😂) I suddenly awoke and checked my phone; the time was 5:45 Pm. The feeling of defeat started creeping in, as I lay there regretting the decision to contemplate.

Although I had slept through most of the day, I still had a feeling of hope that I could make this day an extremely productive one. Usually, I let myself get torn down by missed opportunity, and will beat myself up about it for the rest of the day, which I’m sure a lot of us do at times of distress.

The unhealthy habit of kicking ourselves when we are down, must be remembered as a thing of the past if we are to become the best possible versions of ourselves.

Only follow your heart, if your heart has a pure love for oneself.

This might sound cheesy, but bringing love from inside yourself into the world, there will be a force of positivity around you at all times. This can help in challenging situations which, as we know, can lead to some less then loved moments.

 Hope Sunday was incredible.

Just relax and enjoy yourself, no matter what will happen, you can only enjoy what is happening

Will Strives In the Face of Death

Wednesday Will

Nothing can kill a will, or nullify it for that matter. The constant inspiration we try to achieve, comes from the endless pool of energy called will. There are two different kinds of wills, yet both have a similar conceptual meanings.
When there’s a will there’s a family:
A will is a testimony for our post death wishes, in basic terms. People can see this as an opportunity to deliver feelings they couldn’t when they were with us, and others use it to make sure certain circumstances become reality.
Whatever the case, we use this tool to deliver our ‘will’ onto the world around us. coincidentally, there are ways to banish this will into oblivion; the same way others can use our lack of confidence in ourselves to banish our internal will.

When there’s a will there’s a way:
To push past the more difficult challenges in life we tap into our willpower to use as a force to drive us forward. The use of this power shows a strong connection with ones personal beliefs and goals. Because the inspiration you gain from your own willpower can be used to fortify your goals, there is a certain vulnerability when opening up to the fact that it is your own will.
Once we accept that it is we who are the motivation to continue on, we start looking for that power again and again. This can sometimes lead to disappointment when the will isn’t strong enough to help us with the task at hand.

Why is this?
When there is potential for success, there is a potential for failure, and with every growth the other side grows as well. This is why when we dont succeed at something that is ‘easy’ for us, the immediate response is usually to let ourselves get bombarded with negative thoughts of failure.
Bringing out the goodness without the negativity is something which is learned over time. When challenged with something extreme your sub-conscious will push back with enormous amounts of will to counteract the impossibility of the situation. To be challenged is to be great, and to overcome challenge is to achieve greatness.
